Infratech: electric infrared, architect-grade

Built in the USA (Gardena, CA). Infratech's low-profile electric infrared heaters disappear into high-end patios — no flame, no tank, no noise — backed by a 3-year warranty, the strongest in electric infrared.

Who Infratech is for

Who it's for. Covered patios with power available, architects and designers, high-end residential — anyone who wants heat without flame, tanks, or noise.

What it does well. Disappears into the architecture. Instant infrared heat, zero emissions at the point of use, precise control — the heater becomes part of the ceiling.

Where it fits. Covered restaurant patios, pergolas, outdoor rooms, and loggias — anywhere the heater should be felt, not seen.

The Infratech lineup

What each model is for, in plain language.

  • WD-Series

The all-rounder: wall, ceiling, or flush mount for covered patios.

  • CD-Series

Higher output for larger or more exposed covered areas.

  • Motif collection

Designer fascia panels — the heater becomes part of the architecture.

Fuel, mounting & clearances

Fuel options. Electric — no gas line, no propane logistics, no refills. Just a circuit.

Mounting options. Wall, ceiling, or flush mount for clean ceiling installs that disappear into the design.

Important clearances. Mounting heights and clearances per manufacturer spec — confirmed for your structure before ordering, with final hookup by a licensed electrician.

The honest verdict

Different patios need different heaters. Here's where I'd spec Infratech — and where I'd honestly point you at something else.

When I would consider it

  • There's no gas line and running one isn't practical.
  • The project is design-led and the heater needs to be invisible.
  • The space is enclosed or a wind-sheltered covered patio.
  • You want zoned control over different areas of the patio.

When I would look at something else

  • Open, windy, exposed patio — gas infrared holds up better in wind. Look at Sunpak or SunStar.
  • You need portable or event heat — Sunglo or Italkero rentals.
  • Running new circuits is more infrastructure than the project warrants — a portable gas heater gets you heat this week.

Field notes: Infratech

What working with this equipment actually teaches you.

  • When electric wins.

No gas lines, no propane logistics, no refills — just a circuit. For enclosed patios, high-wind spots, and modern builds, electric infrared is often the cleaner answer.

  • Heat without the flame visual.

Infratech warms people and surfaces with barely a glow. Restaurants that want warmth without the orange-flame look choose it deliberately.

  • Send the patio plan.

Electric layout is a design exercise — heater placement, circuits, controls. Send a site plan or patio photos and I'll spec it before you buy anything.

Common questions

Electric vs gas for a restaurant patio?

Covered patio with power available: electric infrared wins on cleanliness and control. Open, windy, or off-grid: gas. We spec to the space, not the brand.

What does Infratech's 3-year warranty cover?

The manufacturer warranty — one of the most extensive in electric infrared. Ask us for the current terms on the model you're considering.

Can Infratech heaters be recessed?

Yes — flush-mount options exist for clean ceiling installs. We'll confirm clearances for your structure.
